General Education Learning Outcomes

This blog was created to collect feedback from faculty regarding new student learning outcomes for general education. On May 11th, the first multi-disciplinary faculty working group developed drafts of outcomes in two areas of general education: Global Understanding (GLOB) and Social & Behavioral Sciences (SBS). On May 19th, the second faculty working group refined the first draft based on the feedback collected from this blog.

The synthesis learning outcomes posted here were developed by the General Education Committee. It is their first draft.

We are now seeking your feedback on these outcomes. Please post your comments by May 30th, 2009.

Comments can be posted for each learning outcome. To review the proposed learning outcomes, click on one of the general education categories on the right side of the page. You will see a page with all the outcomes for that category. Click an individual learning outcome to post a comment on that particular outcome. “No comments” means no one has commented on that learning outcome; and “1 Comment” means one comment has been submitted.

You will see a “Comments are closed” message at the bottom of this page. This means that you cannot comment on this page. You may comment on the individual outcomes as mentioned above.
